Man Arrested in Series of Break-Ins 7-7-2015

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has arrested Larry M. Wilmer (26) for a series of commercial burglaries in the Dover area.  Wilmer was captured by patrol officers on July 6th at 2:48AM when police received a burglary alarm to the Country Farm Food Store at 1014 South Little Creek Road.  Upon arrival, officers observed Wilmer and an unknown black male attempting to pry the rear door to gain entry.  Both subjects fled and police gave chase, capturing Wilmer a short distance away.  Wilmer was charged with the following crimes for a series of burglaries/attempted burglaries between May 16th and July 6th:
-Wearing a disguise during commission of a felony
-Burglary 3rd Degree (3x)
-Attempted Burglary 3rd Degree (2x)
-Possession of Burglar Tools
-Theft Under $1,500 (2x)
-Resisting Arrest
-Criminal Mischief (5x)

Wilmer was charged with the above offenses in relation to burglaries/burglary attempts at the following locations:

Man Shot on North New Street 7-7-15

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting/assault that occurred on Monday at approximately 9:30PM.  Officers received a report of shots fired with one subject wounded.  Upon arrival, a 24-year-old male was found lying in the roadway with a gunshot to his upper left thigh and a large laceration to his forehead.  The victim as transported to Bayhealth Medical Center for treatment and is in stable condition.  The suspect was described as a black male 5’10”-6′ in height, average build, wearing all black clothing.

Burglary of Dover Restaurant 7-2-15

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred overnight at El Pipil Restaurant located at 720 Townsend Blvd.  The incident occurred when an unknown suspect(s) pried open the rear door located on the east side of the business.  Once inside the suspect pried open the cash register and removed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

Man Wanted for Fleeing From Police, Injuring Officer 6-26-15

Narrative:

Dover Police are seeking John E. Pauley (25), of Milford, after fleeing from an officer on Friday morning.  At approximately 9:32AM, a Dover Police officer stopped Pauley for running a stop sign in the area of Independence Boulevard and Lamplighter Lane.  After stopping, the officer learned that Pauley was wanted numerous times by Superior Court, including a Violation of Probation.  As officers attempted to arrest Pauley, he fled in his vehicle striking one officers hand, and continued northbound on Independence Boulevard.  The officer suffered minor injuries to his hand as a result of the incident.  Pauley was last seen operating a Gray 2001 Chevrolet 2500 truck that was unregistered.

Two Michigan Men Arrested with Large Amount of Drugs at Firefly Campground 6-22-15

Narrative:

Two Michigan men were arrested with a variety of illegal narcotics at the Firefly Music Festival campground.  Officers from the Dover Police Department Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit (DVOC), made an undercover purchase of a substance them two men claimed to be “Molly” or MDMA.  The substance tested positive for the presence of Mephedrone, which is also known as “Flakka” or “Bath salts.”  Police then arrested Daniel Wood (31) of Jackson, MI and Dion McPherson (39) of Ann Arbor, MI.  Upon arrest, the men were found to be in possession of 44.1 grams of Mephedrone, 58.8 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, 225 doses of LSD, and 30.5 grams of marijuana.  In addition to these items, officers seized $3,397.00 in cash (suspected drug proceeds).

Both men were committed to JTVCC in default of $100,000 cash bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Tier 5 Qty of  Mephedrone
-Possession of Tier 5 Qty of Psilocybin Mushrooms
-Possession of Tier 3 Qty of LSD
-Possession with intent to deliver marijuana
-Delivery of Mephedrone
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
