The Dover Police Department has arrested Nashere Edwards, 23, of Dover, for the attempted robbery that occurred at Cedar Chase Apartments last month. Through this investigation, Edwards was identified as a suspect, and warrants were obtained for his arrest. Edwards was also linked to a robbery that occurred in March of 2024 at Cedar Chase Apartments where he displayed a handgun and took property from a victim.

Edwards was arrested on 12/9/25 without incident and committed to SCI $147,000 cash bail on the following charges:
-Robbery First Degree
-Attempted Robbery First Degree(2x)
-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony(2x)
-Possession of a Firearm By a Person Prohibited
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony(2x)
-Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2x)
-Selling Stolen Property

Edwards is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred Sunday evening. The investigation began at 6:35 p.m., when Dover Police responded to Cedar Chase Apartments in reference to an attempted robbery. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the victims. The ensuing investigation revealed that a black male, 5’4″ tall, wearing a camo face covering, a black hooded sweatshirt, and jeans, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the victims. The victims did not comply and were able to drive away.

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Youiannaliez Pagan Rodriguez, 21, of Dover, DE. Pagan Rodriguez was last seen in the 1100 block of Janes Road around 3:00 p.m. Sunday. At the time, she was wearing a black jacket with orange and white spots, a mini mouse hat and black leggings. Attempts to contact her have been unsuccessful, and there is a concern for her safety. Pagan Rodriguez is described as a Hispanic white female, 5’5″ and 140 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes.

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Peter Reidy, 74, of Wyoming, DE. Reidy was last seen in the area of Bayhealth Kent Campus Sunday. It is unknown what he was wearing at the time. Attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful, and there is a concern for his safety. Reidy is described as a white male, 5’10” and 180 pounds.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at the Grey Fox Grille, early Wednesday morning. The investigation began on Wednesday, when Dover Police were called to the business for the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, Officers made contact with the owner. The ensuing investigation revealed that between 6:38 a.m. and 6:55 a.m. on Wednesday, an unknown suspect forced entry into the business by damaging the back door and, once inside, removed cash and left.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Paras Pizza & Gyro early Wednesday morning. The investigation began at 10:00 a.m., when Dover Police were called to the business for the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, Officers found the front glass door was damaged. The ensuing investigation revealed that at approximately 2:34 a.m., an unknown suspect forced entry into the business by damaging the front door, and once inside, removed cash and left.

Once inside, the suspect removed money from the business and left.

The investigation began at 7:10 a.m., when Dover Police responded to Dragon Land for the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, Officers found the rear door pried open. The ensuing investigation revealed that at 7:06 a.m. Saturday, an unknown suspect pried the rear door open to gain access to the store. Once inside, the suspect removed cash belonging to the business and left.
