Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at the County Eatery early Wednesday morning. The investigation began when officers were called to the business at 3:53 a.m. for an alarm. Officers responded and noticed that a suspect had forced entry in the building by damaging the front door. Officers entered the business and checked for suspects with negative results. The ensuing investigation revealed that the suspect entered the business, and once inside, stole a cash register then fled the scene. There is no suspect description available at this time.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Willis Road. The investigation began at 12:21 a.m. on Wednesday when Dover Police received a call for a house that had been damaged by gunfire in the unit block of Willis Road. Officers responded and observed damage on the residence consistent with being shot by gunfire. Investigation revealed that several homes were shot in the area as a result of a shooting and it was determined that this incident occurred between 6:50 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening. No injures were reported.

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Patricia Hultz,62, of Lincoln, DE. Hultz suffers from a condition that may pose a risk to her health and safety if not properly monitored and treated. Hultz is described as a white female, 5’6″, 250 pounds, with bleached blonde hair and green eyes. Hultz was last seen in the 800 block of Division Street on 9/14/23. It is unknown what she was wearing, however she may be operating a silver Nissan Versa Delaware Registration 429539. Attempts to contact her have been negative.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Isaac Jones-Riddick, 20, of Magnolia, on drug dealing and firearm charges following a traffic stop Friday afternoon. The Drugs, Vice and Organized Crime Unit and Street Crimes Unit were conducting a firearm investigation related to Jones-Riddick. Members of the Street Crimes Unit stopped him in a vehicle in the area of South DuPont Highway and Lotus Drive at approximately 2:15 p.m. Friday afternoon, and he was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded 9mm Ruger handgun, a loaded Glock 9mm, 62.4 grams of marijuana and $1,159. Jones-Riddick was transported to Dover Police Department where he was processed and arraigned.
Jones-Riddick was committed to SCI on $100,400 cash bail on the following charges: -Possessing of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony -Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited -Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance -Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon (2x) -Possession of Marijuana -Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 20-year-old male and a 16-year-old male, both of Dover, injured early Wednesday afternoon. The investigation began at 3:17 p.m., when Officers were called to the 100 block of Reese Street for the report of a shooting. The victim, a 20-year-old male, left the scene and went to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment of a gun shot wound to his lower body prior to Police arrival. Officers responded and located shell casings in the 100 block of Reese Street and while on scene, were notified of a second victim, a 16-year-old male, that was now in the 700 block of Slaughter Street. The 16-year-old had been shot in the lower body and was transported to Bayhealth Kent Campus for treatment. There are no leads at this time.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Carlos Vazquez, 32, of Dover, for several burglary incidents throughout the City of Dover that began in June of 2023. The first incident occurred on June 24, 2023, when a suspect entered Paras Grill and Gyros at 283 North DuPont Highway by breaking a window and removed money from the business. (50-23-19952).
The second incident was reported on July 27, when the victim reported an unknown suspect had entered their home in the 600 block of Maple Parkway and removed items from inside.(50-23-23949)
The third incident occurred on August 30, 2023, when a suspect entered La Tonalteca at 245 South DuPont Highway through a roof vent and once inside damaged property belonging to the business. (50-23-29327)
The fourth incident was reported on August 31, 2023 at Capital Pawn located at 324 Martin Street. It was reported that a suspect cut through the exterior of the building, and once inside, removed items from same. (50-23-28125)
Through this investigation, Vazquez was developed as a suspect and warrants for his arrest were obtained for all of the above incidents. He is currently being held at SCI.

**UPDATE 09/11/23** – The individual involved in the motor vehicle collision with a Dover Police Officer from September 6th, 2023 has been identified as 59-year-old Loreen Miller of Dover. Sadly, Ms. Miller died on September 10th, 2023, while receiving treatment for her injuries at a New Castle County Hospital.
The officer involved in this collision is a 4-year-veteran of the Dover Police Department and is a member of the Patrol Division. Consistent with standard practice for all incidents associated with a death where an Officer is involved, the Officer has been placed on administrative leave, with pay, pending the outcome of the investigation. The Dover Police Department will continue to gather the facts of this case and requests that anyone with information contact Cpl. Kody Frye at 302-736-7122 ext. 621.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a serious vehicle collision involving a Dover Police Officer and another vehicle, that left a 59-year-old female of Dover seriously injured Wednesday morning. The investigation began at 7:59 a.m., when a Dover Police Officer radioed to dispatch that they had been involved in a vehicle collision on South Little Creek Road. Several Officers responded and located the collision in the area of South Little Creek Road and Signal Street. The driver of the second vehicle, which was a 1997 Chevrolet Camaro, was trapped inside of her vehicle and Dover Fire Department responded to cut her out. Once removed from the vehicle, the 59-year-old female was airlifted to a New Castle County hospital, where she remains in critical condition for injuries related to the collision. The officer, a 4-year-veteran, was transported to an area hospital for treatment and later released with minor injuries.
The ensuing investigation revealed that the Officer was traveling westbound on South Little Creek Road in a fully marked Dover Police Vehicle approaching Signal Street. At that same time, the 59-year-old female was traveling eastbound on South Little Creek road, and was attempting to turn left onto Signal Street, which resulted in the vehicles colliding in an offset head-on manner. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage.

The Dover Police Department has arrested Daquan Watson, 29, of Dover following a shooting investigation that began in July(See original release below). Through the investigation, Watson was developed as a suspect and warrants were obtained for his arrest. On September 5th, Watson was taken into custody without incident at a residence in the unit block of Commerce Way Dover, DE by the U.S Marshal’s First State Fugitive Task Force. Watson was transported to Dover Police Department where he was processed and arraigned.
Watson was released after posting a $26,000 secured bond on the following charges: -Reckless Endangering First Degree -Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony -Criminal Mischief

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on South Bradford Street early Sunday morning resulting in a vehicle being damaged. The investigation began at 1:27 a.m., when Officers were called to the area for shots fired. Officers responded to the scene and located a large crowd. Officers also located a vehicle that had damage consistent with being shot. No witnesses came forward during this investigation and no injuries were reported.
