Narrative:

On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, at approximately 11:02 pm, the Dover Police responded to a complaint of a robbery that occurred in the parking of building J of Woodmill Apartments, which is located at 1300 S. Farmview Driver, Dover.  Upon arrival officers contacted the victim who stated that while he was getting out of his car he was approached by an unknown male who displayed what appeared to be a firearm and demanded money.  Then, while holding the victim at gunpoint, the suspect searched the victims pockets and removed credit cards, keys, and a small amount of money.  After doing this the suspect then got into an unknown style car and fled the area.

Dover Police Make Arrest in Stabbing

Narrative:

On Saturday, May 30, 2015, officers from the Dover Police Department responded to a fight in progress in Lot#10 of the Dover Downs International Speedway.  The investigation into the fight revealed that the victim was standing with a group of people in the campground of Lot#10 as Christopher Martin rode by on his motorcycle.  Someone from the group that the victim was standing with threw a beer car at Martin.  Martin became upset about this and confronted the group and an argument ensued.  During the argument Martin produced a box cutter style knife and cut the victim on his upper left arm, causing a severe laceration.  The victim was transported to Kent General Hospital via ambulance, where he was treated for his injuries and released.  Officers recovered the weapon at the scene.

Narrative:

On Monday, June 1, 2015, the Dover Police responded to Kent General Hospital for a male victim that was shot in the leg.  Through investigation it was determined that while the victim was standing outside of the Elks Lodge located at 217 N. Kirkwood Street, an unknown make and model sedan drove southbound on Kirkwood Street at which time an unknown person from inside of the vehicle fired approximately 3 rounds in the direction of the victim and other people that were outside of the Elks Lodge at the time.  The victim was struck in the leg by one of the bullets fired and was driven to Kent General Hospital by one of his family members.

Dover Street Crimes Unit and Probation Parole Seize Firearm During Traffic Stop

Narrative:

On Tuesday, June 2, 2015, officers from the Street Crimes Unit and Probation and Parole conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 200 Block of Frear Drive, Dover.  Upon stopping the vehicle officers contacted the driver, Melissa Thompkins, who was found to have an active capias from the Kent County Court of Common Pleas, and the passenger, Frederick Tolson, who was found to have an active capias from Kent County Family Court.  Tolson was also found to have an active warrant on file at the Dover Police Department for Assault 3rd.  After Thompkins and Tolson were taken into custody the officers searched the vehicle and found a 9mm caliber handgun concealed underneath the steering wheel in a holster.

Melissa Thompkins was arrested and released on $2,600.00 unsecured bond.  Frederick Tolson was arrested and committed to the James T. Three Juveniles Arrested for Breaking Into a Camper at the Speedway

Narrative:

On Saturday May 30, 2015, the Dover Police responded to a complaint of a burglary that occurred in Lot#1o located at the Dover Downs International Speedway.  Upon arrival officers contacted the victim who advised that at approximately 12:15 am that he discovered that an unknown person went into his unsecured camper that he was staying in for the weekend and removed money, a passport, glasses and prescription pills.

Narrative:

On Friday, May 29, 2015 the Dover Police Department responded a residence in the 100 Block of Irma Street in Dover for a report of a bullet fired into a residence.  The investigation revealed that an unknown suspect fired a bullet that traveled thru the front window across the room and lodged into the rear door jam of the residence.  Based on the physical evidence at the scene the shot appeared to have come from the area of Simon Circle and Reese Street.  The victim stated that neither he nor his wife heard any gunshots at the house.

Dover Police Patrol Unit Stops Burglary in Progress

Narrative:

On May 31, 2015, at approximately 12:55 am, officers from the Dover Police Department Patrol Unit were on patrol in the area of Redners Super Mart located in the Green Tree Shopping Center.  While in the parking of the shopping center the officers saw a person, later identified as David Perrera, walk up to the front door of the business wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.  The officers then heard a loud popping sound, followed by the sound of glass breaking.  After this happened Perrea retreated to the parking lot of the shopping center, where he was taken into custody by the officers, carrying a hammer and work gloves.
