Narrative:
The Dover Police Department and Delaware Probation and Parole arrested a 23-year-old Dover man for drug related offenses following a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon. Fletcher was found to be in possession of 67 bags of heroin and .5 grams of crack cocaine. Fletcher was arrested without incident and committed to JTVCC in default of bond on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver
-Possession of Heroin
-Possession of Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
UPDATE:
An arrest has been made in the shooting of a 42-year-old man on February 7th, 2017. Gregory Scott was developed as a suspect in the case based on efforts made by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Dover Police Department. Scott was observed walking in the area of S. New Street on February 24th and arrested without incident. He was committed to JTVCC in default of $172,000 cash bond on the following charges:
-Attempted Murder 1st Degree
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Reckless Endangering (2x)

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department is investigating the shooting of a 42-year-old man that occurred on Tuesday evening. Officers responded to the Unit Block of S. New Street for a report of shots fired. While officers were on scene, information was received that the victim had driven himself to Kent General Hospital. The victim was treated for multiple gunshot wounds to his torso and was hospitalized as a result of those injuries.

West Dover – The Delaware State Police Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating a single vehicle fatal crash that claimed the life of two people early this morning.
Preliminary investigation suggests the incident occurred around 4:05 a.m., Sunday February 26, 2017, as Robert E. DaFonte, 23 of Hartly, was operating a 2016 Jeep Wrangler westbound on Hazlettville Road, east of Nault Road approaching a sharp right curve. The operator failed to negotiate the curve and traveled off the south side of the roadway down an embankment and struck a utility pole with the driver’s side door.The Jeep continued westbound overturning and ejecting the right front passenger before coming to a stop on the passenger side.
Robert DaFonte was properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene.
James D. Watts, 22 of Camden-Wyoming, who was seated in the right front passenger’s seat, was not properly restrained and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing their investigation into this incident.Hazlettville Road between Apple Grove School Road and Nault Road was closed for approximately three hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested 33-year-old Andron Hughes (Smyrna, DE) for a 7th offense DUI charge on Friday morning. Hughes was observed operating a black Kia Soul in the area of Bay Road and S. Little Creek Road stopped in the middle of the intersection at a red light. A Dover Police Officer stopped the driver and upon further investigation, determined he was intoxicated and driving under the influence. A records check later revealed this is the 7th offense for DUI for Hughes. Hughes was committed to JTVCC in default of $6,000 bond for Driving Under the Influence (7th Offense) and other traffic related charges.

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested 54-year-old Rodney Caulk for Driving Under the Influence on Saturday afternoon, his sixth arrest for DUI. Officers responded to the parking lot of Club Fitness just before 6:00PM for a report that Caulk was driving under the influence. Officers observed Caulk, stopped the vehicle, and administered tests that led to his arrest. Caulk was charged with Sixth Offense DUI and committed to JTVCC in default of $6,000 cash bond.

Narrative:
A Dover man was arrested for a robbery thanks to a local member of the United States Air Force assigned to Dover Air Force Base. The incident occurred when 33-year-old Brian McCain approached a 30-year-old female victim in the 100 Block of West Loockerman Street as she was walking to her vehicle following dinner with friends. McCain demanded that the woman give him her purse. Fearful for her safety due to McCain’s aggressiveness, she complied and McCain fled on foot. A witness observed the incident and chased down the suspect, tackling him to the ground a short distance away. The witness, a member of the United States Air Force, was not injured and was able to recover the victim’s property. Dover Police arrested McCain a short time later near his home in the 100 Block of West Loockerman Street. McCain was committed to JTVCC on $1,000 Secured Bond on a single charge of Robbery 2nd Degree.

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested three men on Tuesday following a drug investigation. Officers learned that two of the men used the United States Postal Service to ship approximately 130 grams of cocaine from Puerto Rico to their address in Delaware. The package was intercepted and the suspects were arrested when they received it as a delivery. As a result, the following suspects were charged with the following offenses:
