Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Two Men 6-22-17

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested two men on weapons and drug charges following a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon.  Officers conducted a traffic stop on a gold Kia minivan in the area of Webbs Lane and Governors Avenue at 3:49PM on Tuesday.  When the vehicle stopped, the passenger (Mahdi Wilson, 24) fled on foot.  Officers were able to arrest Wilson with the help of a Delaware State Police K9 unit.  The driver, Kareem Bumbrey (25),  was arrested without incident.  A search of the vehicle and suspect led to the discovery of 6.7 grams of cocaine, .9 grams marijuana, and a magazine with 9mm ammunition.  Wilson also had a warrant from Felton PD for Robbery 1st Degree and other charges.

Two Charged in Residential Burglary and Assault 6-20-17

Location:  Pine Grove Apts (255 Webbs Lane), Dover, DE

Narrative:

Two men were arrested following a residential burglary and assault.  The incident occurred at 12:07AM at Pine Grove Apartments, when Stanley Delius (24), Ronaldo Fleury (27), and a third unknown suspect forced their way into an apartment while armed with a baseball bat and two knives.  Once inside, the suspects assaulted a 29-year-old male victim, causing a laceration to the victim’s foot and a facial contusion.  Delius and Fleury were located and arrested by Dover Police Department at Delius’ residence, which is also in Pine Grove Apartments.

Both Delius and Fleury were charged with the following offenses:
-Burglary 1st Degree
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of a Felony
-Assault 2nd Degree
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
Stanley Delius was released after posting $4,500 secured bond.  Ronaldo Fleury was released on $28,000 unsecured bond.

Arrest Made in Four Burglary Cases 6-20-17

 

Anthony Hogan (38), of Dover, is awaiting extradition for several burglaries in the Dover area, as well as other jurisdictions in Delaware.  During the week of April 20th-27th, 2017, the Dover Police Department investigated three burglaries and one attempted burglary at area convenience stores.  On April 22nd, 2017, the Harrington (DE) Police Department also investigated a burglary of a cigarette outlet and were able to identify Hogan as the suspect in their case.  Dover Police detectives were able to link Hogan to the series of burglaries that occurred in Dover during the week of April 20th-27th.  Hogan is also responsible for burglaries being investigated by the Delaware State Police, Harrington Police, Smyrna Police, and Middletown Police.  On June 19th, 2017, Hogan was arrested by the New Jersey State Police in Camden, NJ and is currently awaiting extradition to Delaware.

Hogan will be charged in the following cases:
DOT Discount Burglary on April 22, 2017
DOT Discount Burglary on April 27, 2017
-Valero Burglary (530 N. DuPont Hwy) on April 20th where $800 in cigarettes were stolen
-Attempted Burglary at 1005 College Road on April 22nd where suspect fled after breaking the front door glass

Drug Arrests at FIREFLY Festival Campgrounds 6-19-2017

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested a 26-year-old man from Illinois after selling ecstasy to an undercover officer in Camping Lot 1 of the Dover Speedway/FIREFLY Music Festival.  Jordann Reeser,  was arrested shortly after selling to the undercover officer, and was found with the following items:
-$1,948 cash
-945 Ecstasy Pills
-40 doses of LSD
-13.3 grams of MDMA,
-3.2 grams of Crystal Methamphetamine
-1 gram of cocaine
-39.9 grams of mushrooms

While officers conducted a search of Reeser’s belongings, he attempted to flee on foot while handcuffed.  Reeser was apprehended quickly, but a brief struggle led to a minor injury to a Dover police officer (lacerations to upper extremities).   Reeser was committed to JTVCC in default of $176,500 cash bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Ecstasy
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Ecstasy

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested three people from Maryland on drug charges after selling to an undercover officer.  Officers from the Dover Police Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit conducted undercover operations in camping lot 2 of the Dover Speedway/FIREFLY Music Festival on Saturday afternoon.  Officer arrested three suspects without incident following the purchase by the undercover officer.  The arrest led to the seizure of the following items:
-70.6 grams of cocaine
-58.2 grams of MDMA
-7 capsules of MDPV (bath salts)
-1.2 grams of marijuana
-2 doses of LSD
-$9,838 cash

Each subject was charged with the following offenses:
-Possession of Cocaine
-Possession of MDMA
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
-Possession with Intent to Deliver MDMA
-Delivery of Cocaine
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

UPDATE: Dover Police Conducting Death Investigation After Finding Woman’s Remains 6-12-17

UPDATE:

The death of a woman on Monday morning in the area of Conwell Street and College Road was caused by motor vehicle accident.  58-year-old Pamela Guy, was killed when a tractor-trailer drove over her on Monday morning.  During the investigation, it was learned that Guy was known to drink heavily and often sleep in random spots in the neighborhood.  On Sunday, June 11th, Pamela Guy had been drinking heavily and helping the operator of the tractor-trailer wash his vehicle.  Later that night, Guy came back to the area and fell asleep in front of the parked tractor-trailer.  When the operator (52-year-old male from Dover) left for work on Monday morning, the tractor-trailer ran over the victim, causing her death.

The Dover Police Department is conducting a death investigation after a woman was found lying in a yard in area of College Road and Conwell Street.  Officers initially reported to the incident at 8:00AM with medical personnel.  Upon arrival, an African-American female in her 50’s was found deceased.  The cause of death is still under investigation.  The name of the woman is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Man Arrested with Handgun in Manchester Square 6-13-17

Narrative:

21-year-old Denzel Braker of Dover, was charged with multiple firearms offenses after being arrested by the Dover Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Delaware Probation and Parole Officers.  Officers were in the area of Manchester Square (Stevenson Drive) and observed Braker sitting in the passenger side of a vehicle, outside of his mandated curfew time.  The officers contacted Braker and discovered that he has a 9mm handgun in his waistband.  Braker was arrested without incident and committed to JTVCC on $35,000 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Violation of Probation

Burglary at Willie’s Auto Detailing 6-12-17

Location:  Willie’s Auto Detailing, 17 Weston Drive, Dover, DE

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred between 6pm on June 8th and 5:40AM on June 9th.  During that time an unknown suspect(s) entered Willie’s Auto Detailing through a rear door.  Once inside, the office was ransacked and a lock-box containing an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen.  The suspect(s) then stole multiple tools, keys, a Suzuki Motorcycle (DE REG: MC31123), and a white Honda Civic.  The Honda Civic and a set of keys were located in the area of North Kirkwood Street on Friday, June 9th.  The vehicle was unoccupied and was processed for evidence.
