Summary: 

The Dover Police Department is issuing a gold alert for a missing 67-year-old man.  Allen Hill was last seen on November 19th, when the Dover Police Department transported Hill to Kent General Hospital for an evaluation where he was discharged and recommended to a mental health facility.  Since then, Hill’s family has not seen or heard from him which led to them reporting him missing on November 30th at 6:57 p.m.  Officers contacted Delaware facilities and found no record of Hill being present at them at this time.  Based on the information known on November 19th that led officers to taking Hill to the hospital and no updates since then, the department is issuing a Gold Alert.

Hill is described as 6’1″ tall, 156 pounds, black hair, and brown eyes.

Dover Man Arrested for Arson 11-26-2020

Narrative: 
The Dover Police Department arrested Balowens Duverger (20) in connection with an arson that occurred on Wednesday, November 25th.  At approximately 9:58 a.m., the Dover Fire Department responded to the address for a working fire.  At the time of arrival, the fire was primarily in the garage of the residence.  Once the fire was extinguished it was learned that the fire was intentionally set.  Based on the following investigation, it was determined that Duverger had set the fire and was released on an O.R. bond on the following offenses:
-Arson 1st Degree
-Reckless Endangering (3x)

UPDATE: The Gold Alert for Wyndham Williams is cancelled after Williams was located in the Dover area on the morning of November 25th. Williams is being evaluated at a nearby hospital.

Wyndham Williams was last seen leaving his residence in the 700 Block of River Road at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 24th. He was operating a 2002 silver Lincoln Town car with DE REGISTRATION: 300757. Williams was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, and sneakers. Dover Police Operation Gobble Feeds 150 Families 11-24-2020

The Dover Police Department distributed 150 Thanksgiving meals to families during Operation Gobble 2020.  This is the 3rd year that the Dover Police Department has held Operation Gobble.  Thanksgiving meals were distributed door to door in the downtown area by the Dover Police Department and volunteers from Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity, United States Air Force ACE (Airmen Committed to Excellence) Council, and NCALL.   The Capital School district allowed the use of the Central Middle School cafeteria freezer for storage of 150 oven roasters that were donated by Mountaire.  Boxes of unperishable food items were purchased from the Food Bank of Delaware by the Dover Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 15, NCALL, and Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity.  On Monday afternoon, volunteers met at the Central Middle School and put together the 150 packages to be distributed and were escorted by the Dover Police motorcycle unit throughout the downtown area as volunteers went door to door to hand out the food items.  

Stabbing on White Oak Road 11-23-2020

Narrative: 
The Dover Police Department is investigating the stabbing of a 22-year-old man that occurred on Sunday night.  At approximately 10:25 p.m., officers responded to Kent General Hospital after being notified that a stabbing victim has been self-transported to the emergency room.  Investigating officers learned that the man had been stabbed in the chest and suffered serious internal injury as a result.  It is believed that the incident occurred on White Oak Road and the victim was transported by an acquaintance to the hospital.

Shooting on South Little Creek Road 11-23-2020

Narrative: 
The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting of a 22-year-old male on Sunday afternoon.  At approximately 5:03 p.m., officers responded to Burger King, located at East Loockerman Street and S. DuPont Highway for a report of a man who had been shot.  Arriving officers contacted the man who had been shot in the shoulder and learned that the incident occurred in the 800 Block of S. Little Creek Road.  The victim was transported to Kent General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Burglary at Laundry Lagoon 11-21-2020

Narrative: 
The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary of a local laundromat that occurred on Thursday night.  At approximately 7:09 p.m., a suspect entered the Laundry Lagoon and kicked open an office door.  Once inside, the suspect stole a cash drawer and a security camera before fleeing on foot.  The incident was not reported until the following morning as an employee was opening the store.  The suspect was a male, wearing dark clothing, with a hooded jacket/sweatshirt pulled tightly over his face.
