On October 6, 2021 at approximately 2200 hours, members of the Dover Police Department Street Crimes Unit conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle. During the stop, Officers contacted Michael Wright a white male DOB 08/10/1989, who matched the description of the suspect from the Royal Farms attempted robbery. During a search of the vehicle, an article of clothing matching clothing worn by the suspect during the robbery was located. Wright was taken into custody and transported to the Dover Police Department. Wright was charged with Attempted Robbery 1st and wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony. Wright was issued a $600.00 cash bail.

The Dover Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred at a Royal Farms convenience store. At approximately 12:14 a.m. on October 5th, a suspect entered the store located at 295 S. DuPont Highway and approached the cashier. The suspect acted as if he had a handgun and demanded money from the register. After the cashier refused, the suspect fled on foot in a southbound direction. The suspect is a white male with blonde eyebrows. The suspect is also shown below in a photo obtained from surveillance footage.
