Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested Joel Mena on drug and firearm charges as the result of an investigation on Tuesday, October 19th.  Officers stopped two vehicles leaving the Days Inn in the 200 Block of N. DuPont Highway during a drug investigation.  Officers contacted Mena who was found to be in possession of 166 bags of heroin, a handgun,  and $1,880 in suspected drug proceeds.  During the investigation, officers learned of another vehicle connected to Mena and executed a search warrant on a silver Volvo S60.  During that search, officers also located 10.2 pounds of marijuana, 5 grams of fentanyl, 124 bags of heroin, and 8.8 grams of cocaine.

Mena was committed to SCI on a $86,250 cash bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine

UPDATE:  The Gold Alert for Jennifer Harris has been cancelled.  She was located by officers at approximately 8:30 a.m. on October 20th and is being returned to Dover Behavioral Health for treatment.

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Jennifer Harris (34).  Harris was being treated at Dover Behavioral Health for a condition and walked out of the center into a wooded area at approximately 4:57 a.m. on October 20th.  Harris has not been located at this time.  Harris is a black female, approximately 5’5″, 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Harris was last known to be wearing blue scrubs.  Harris is from the Millsboro area and may be trying to get back to that region.
