Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested Joel Mena on drug and firearm charges as the result of an investigation on Tuesday, October 19th. Officers stopped two vehicles leaving the Days Inn in the 200 Block of N. DuPont Highway during a drug investigation. Officers contacted Mena who was found to be in possession of 166 bags of heroin, a handgun, and $1,880 in suspected drug proceeds. During the investigation, officers learned of another vehicle connected to Mena and executed a search warrant on a silver Volvo S60. During that search, officers also located 10.2 pounds of marijuana, 5 grams of fentanyl, 124 bags of heroin, and 8.8 grams of cocaine.
Mena was committed to SCI on a $86,250 cash bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
