Teen Arrested with Handgun During Shoplifting Incident

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested a 15-year-old male during a shoplifting investigation who was in possession of a handgun. Officers responded to Redner’s located at 25 Greentree Drive for a report of a shoplifting where a loss prevention employee had a 15-year-old male and a 13-year-old male in custody for attempting to steal from the store. When an arriving officer patted down the suspects, a handgun was located in the 15-year-old’s jacket pocket. Both suspects were arrested by Dover Police without incident.

The 15-year-old male was charged with the following offenses:
-Shoplifting Under $1,500
-Conspiracy 3rd Degree
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited (juvenile)

The 13-year-old male was charged with:
-Shoplifting Under $1,500
-Conspiracy 3rd Degree

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Gun Charges

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested Gregory Mitchell (21) on drug and firearm charges during a traffic stop on Monday morning. Officers stopped Mitchell who was operating a vehicle with no rear bumper or rear lights. When Mitchell stopped, he immediately exited the vehicle. Officers approached Mitchell and detained him without incident and found a small amount of marijuana in his coat pocket. Officers then search the vehicle and located drug paraphernalia, approximately 10 grams of marijuana, and a .40 caliber handgun.

Mitchell was committed to SCI on a $15,103 cash bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Possession of Marijuana
-Vehicle/Traffic Violations

Dover Man Arrested on Drug Charges

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested a 47-year-old male on drug charges on Sunday morning. Officers were on patrol in the area of White Oak Road and Stevenson Drive when they observed a white vehicle with its orange emergency/hazard lights on. Officers stopped to check on the operator, later identified as Robert Taylor. When Taylor was contacted, officers smelled a strong odor of marijuana. Taylor was detained without incident and during a search of his person, officers located 6.5 grams of crack cocaine, and 13 bags of heroin.

Taylor was released on an O.R. bond on the following offenses:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
-Possession of Crack Cocaine
-Motor Vehicle Violation
