Suspect Wanted for Old Navy Robbery 3-17-15

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department is seeking Deandre Harris (22, Dover) in reference to a robbery that occurred on Saturday afternoon, February 14th. Harris entered the Old Navy clothing store inside of the Dover Mall, selecting various clothing items and placing them into a bag.  When Harris attempted to leave the store with the merchandise, a male employee attempted to stop him by standing in front of him.  Harris then threw the employee to the ground and punched the employee multiple times in the head/face area.  Harris fled the area, leaving the merchandise behind.  Further investigation and surveillance video revealed that Deandre Harris was the suspect.  Harris now has a warrant for his arrest for the following charges:
-Attempted 2nd Degree Robbery
-Offensive Touching
-Disorderly Conduct

Man Arrested for Possession of Crack Cocaine

Location:  N. New Street and Fulton Street Dover, DE

Narrative:

On Friday March 13, 2015 at 1:27 pm the City of Dover Police TAC/ Operation Safe Streets Unit and the DVOC Unit contacted defendant Glenron T. Hooten (34) at the intersection of N. New Street and Fulton Street in Dover, DE. Defendant Hooten was wanted on a capias and a was searched upon arrest. Officers located 4.2 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale on Mr. Hooten. Defendant Hooten was processed at the Dover Police Department and taken to JP#7 for arraignment. Defendant Hooten was committed to James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in default of $5,500.00 secured bond.

Weekly Shoplifter Arrests 3/5/15-3/12/15

The Dover Police Department responded to 12  shoplifting calls between Noon on March 5th and Noon on March 12h.  Of those 12 shoplifting complaints, eight are still under investigation, one was unfounded, and arrests were made/warrants obtained in three cases. A total of three adults were arrested during this period.

Drug Bust at Red Roof Inn 3-9-15

Narrative:
Two people were arrested on Monday, March 9th at the Red Roof Inn during an operation by the Dover Police Department Drug Unit and Safe Streets Unit.  Officers contacted Karl Ingram (29) and Gabriella Rivera (22) in a hotel room and Ingram fled on foot. Ingram was arrested by police a short time later, but put up a struggle, causing a minor injury to a Dover Police Officer.  Other officers apprehended Rivera without incident, inside the hotel room, where two children were also located.  A search of the room led to the discovery of 94.4 grams of cocaine, 5.4 grams of marijuana, and prescription pills on Ingram’s person.  A total of $3,258.00 was also seized.

Magnolia Man Shot While Staying at Dover Motel

Narrative:

On Monday March 9, 2015 at 12:00 AM the City of Dover Police Department responded to the Super Lodge Motel located at 246 N. DuPont Hwy in Dover, DE for a shooting complaint. Responding officers contacted a black male victim (23) who had a gun shot wound to his upper right leg. The victim was transported to Bay Health Hospital in Dover for treatment. The victim was treated for a fractured right femur and is currently in stable condition. The victim was not able to provide any suspect information at this time. Shooting at a local Motel in Dover

Narrative:

On Saturday March 7, 2015 at 2:30 in the afternoon the City of Dover Police Department received a 911 call regarding a shooting that occurred inside a Motel room located at the Capital Inn in Dover. The female victim (20) of Dover, told investigators she had approximately 10 unknown black males inside her room when a single shot was fired from an unknown caliber handgun. All unknown black male suspects fled the Motel room prior to police arrival. The victim sustained a single gunshot wound to her chest causing her lung to collapse. The victim was transported to Bay Health Hospital in Dover, DE and treated for her injuries. The victim is currently listed in stable condition and is expected to recover from her injuries. Narrative:

On Saturday March 7, 2015, the Dover Police responded to a complaint of a burglary that occurred in the 200 block of Dover East Estates, located at 1061 S. Little Creek Road, Dover.  The investigation revealed that on March 7 between the approximate hours of 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm, an unknown suspect forced their way into the residence thru the back door.  Once inside the suspect stole a .357 magnum handgun from the bedroom and fled the area.
