The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Rachel Denney, a 37-year-old female of Wilmington, DE. Denney suffers from a condition that may pose a risk to her health and safety if not properly monitored and treated. Denney is described as a white female, 5’6″, approximately 135 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes. Denney was last known to be in the area of Wawa, 1450 Forrest Avenue at approximately 01:55 a.m. Sunday. It is unknown what she was wearing, however she is known to operate a 2020 Cadillac CT4. A stock photo of the vehicle is shown below.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating the shooting death of Jeff Tolson, 28, of Dover, DE, that occurred early Sunday morning. The investigation began at approximately 2:48 a.m., when Dover Police received the call for shots fired in the 900 block of Woodcrest Drive. Officers responded and located Tolson laying on the ground with gunshot wounds. Officers began life saving efforts until Tolson was transported to an area hospital, where he later died. No suspect description is available at this time.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Bowman at 302-736-7141 or the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Callers may remain anonymous. UPDATE – The Dover Police Department has identified Mauricio Correa, 36, of Dover, DE as the victim who died as a result of the crash on Tuesday, December 13, 2022.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a fatal motor vehicle crash that left a 36-year-old Dover man dead and a 37-year-old Dover man injured Tuesday evening. At approximately 6:45 p.m., Dover Police received a call for a crash involving two bicyclists and a vehicle at the intersection of South DuPont Highway and Webbs Lane. Officers responded to the area and located the 36-year-old victim in the roadway suffering injuries from the collision. Officers attempted to render aid, however he was later pronounced dead at the scene.
The ensuing investigation revealed that a 2013 Toyota Camry being operated by a 22-year-old male from Maryland was traveling southbound on South DuPont Highway approaching the intersection of Webbs Lane. The traffic light at this intersection had turned red and the vehicle failed to stop for the red light. At the same time, for unknown reasons, the 36-year-old victim was falling off of his bicycle in the middle of South DuPont Highway south of the intersection. The vehicle swerved in an attempt to avoid striking the victim however he could not stop in time to avoid the collision. The vehicle began to slow down and pull to the left side of the roadway, where the 37-year-old man was standing on his bicycle in the median, and struck him in the rear tire, ejecting him from the bike. The 37-year-old man was transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life threatening inquires.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested Othello Creekmur, 26, of Dover, DE, on weapons charges following a traffic stop Saturday afternoon. The investigation began when a Dover Police patrol officer observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign in the area of Independence Blvd at approximately 3:50 p.m. The officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver, Creekmur. The officer detected an odor of marijuana in the vehicle and a search was conducted at which time the officer located a 9mm Glock handgun concealed inside of a compartment in the vehicle. Creekmur was arrested without incident and transported to Dover Police where he was arraigned.
Creekmur was released on OR bond on the following charges: -Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon -Failure To Stop at a Stop Sign

Narrative: The Dover Police Department has arrested a 15-year-old black male from Penns Grove, NJ and a 16-year-old black male from Salem, NJ following two attempted robbery complaints Thursday afternoon. The investigation began at approximately 1:45 p.m., when Dover Police were called by a victim in the Gateway West parking lot. The victim stated that as he exited his vehicle in the parking lot of the shopping center, a black male suspect wearing all black, later determined to be the 15-year-old male, wrapped his arms around him and demanded the victim turn over his keys. The victim was able to get out of the suspects grip and call 911. The suspect fled in a red passenger car with New Jersey registration.
At 1:56 p.m. on the same date Dover Police received a call for another attempted robbery. The victim in this case called Dover Police and advised she parked her vehicle at Del-One, 270 Beiser Blvd, Dover, DE and as she exited she was approached by the 15-year-old male who demanded she give him her keys. The victim got back into her vehicle and closed the door and the suspect fled in a red passenger car with New Jersey registration.
Responding officers located the 15-year-old male and 16-year-old male running from the area upon their arrival. Both juveniles were taken into custody without incident. Officers searched the surrounding area and located a red 2012 Hyundai Azera with New Jersey registration that was reported stolen out of Carneys Point Township New Jersey. Through the ensuing investigation, Detectives were able to positively identify the 15-year-old male as the suspect in both attempted robberies.
Both Juveniles were transported to Dover Police where they were arraigned.
The 15-year-old male was committed to Stevenson House on $16,100 cash bail on the following charges: -Attempted Robbery Second Degree (2x) -Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500 -Conspiracy Second Degree -Offensive Touching
The 16-year-old male was released on an unsecured bond on the following charges: -Receiving Stolen Property Over $1,500 -Conspiracy Second Degree
