Dover Man Facing Numerous Drug Charges Following Arrest 6-13-18

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department arrested a Dover man on numerous drug charges on Tuesday afternoon.  The incident began when Marcus Bolden (31) was stopped for a traffic violation and for being wanted on a capias out of Kent County Court of Common Pleas.  He was taken into custody without incident, but was found to be in possession of 3.7 grams of crack cocaine, 6 grams of cocaine, 70 oxycodone tablets, 47 grams of marijuana, and $477.00 in drug proceeds.  

It was learned that Bolden was staying at the Relax Inn, located at 640 S. DuPont Highway. A search warrant was conducted by the Dover Police Department, Delaware Probation and Parole, and the First State Fugitive Task Force.  As a result of that search, the following was located:
-62.2 grams crack cocaine
-23.3 grams cocaine
-273 bags of heroin
-21.5 doses of ecstasy
-628.8 grams of marijuana
-paraphernalia
-$3,777.00 cash
-9mm ammunition

Marcus Bolden was committed to JTVCC in default of $42,300 secured and $126,200 cash bonds on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine (2x)
-Possession of Cocaine (2x)Drug Paraphernalia (2x)
-Local Fugtive
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Oxycodone (2x)
-Possession of Ecstasy
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Ecstasy

Shooting at Periwinkle Drive and Caroline Place 6-13-2018

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred on Tuesday night in the area of Periwinkle Drive and Caroline Place.  Officers responded to that location after a call for shots fired at approximately 11:17PM.  Upon arrival, it was learned that two unknown male suspects approached the intersection on foot and began shooting towards two female victims who were standing near the roadway.  None of the females were injured, but an unoccupied vehicle was struck by gunfire and several shell casings were found on scene.  The suspects then fled south on Caroline Place to an unknown location.

Man Shot in The Hamlet 6-8-2018

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 21-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head on Thursday night.  At approximately 11:30PM,  unknown suspect(s) drove by the unit block of Village Drive, in The Hamlet, and fired a single shot at the victim, who was jogging back to his residence to retrieve money to pay a tab at Tom’s Bullpen.  While jogging back, the victim was approached by a vehicle where an unknown suspect was hanging out of the passenger window.  The victim was struck with “bird shot”, leaving several small pellets in his head and face area.  The victim is being treated at Kent General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.  Those shot also struck a residence on Village Drive, only causing minor property damage.

US Route 13 Closed Due to Accident

All three lanes of Northbound Route 13/North DuPont Highway at Leipsic Road (near Pizza Hut and The Home Depot) are completely closed as crews work to repair a utility pole that was damaged in a vehicle accident earlier this morning.  As of 6:50AM, the road was expected to be closed for at least another 2-3 hours.  

All northbound traffic is being detoured to Leipsic Road.  If possible, please use alternate routes for travel to avoid the area.

Two Arrested On Drug Charged Following Probation and Parole Search 6-7-2018

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested two men on drug charges after a search by Delaware Probation and Parole.  At approximately 12:57PM, Delaware Probation and Parole officers conducted a search at an apartment in F Building at Pine Grove Apartments and discovered 22.8 grams of crack cocaine, 107 bags of heroin, and 9 grams of marijuana.  Both Darren Swiggett (29) and Michael Collier (29) were taken into custody without incident.  Both suspects were committed to JTVCC in default of $82,002 Secured Bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Crack Cocaine
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Possession of Marijuana
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree

UPDATE:  The Gold Alert for Agmere Matthews has been cancelled after he was located safely at 12:30PM by the Dover Police Department on June 7th, 2018.

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for a missing 26-year-old man. Agmere Matthews was last seen in the area of S. Hancock Avenue leaving his residence at approximately 8:15PM on June 6th, 2018.  He was wearing a blue “Dover Rent-All” hooded sweatshirt, black track pants with a white stripe, and white sneakers.  Matthews has since made statements that are concerning in regards to his health and safety.  If you have any information on Matthews’ whereabouts, please contact the Dover Police Department at 302-736-7111.

Shooting In Manchester Square Community 6-7-2018

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left a 36-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the head on Wednesday night.  At approximately 9:29PM,  unknown suspect(s) drove by the unit block of Stevenson Drive, in the Manchester Square community, and fired multiple gunshots.  Those shots struck a vehicle and the 36-year-old male victim in the head.  The victim was transported to Kent General Hospital by other persons prior to police arrival where he remains hospitalized in stable condition.
