Double Fatality Motor Vehicle Accident 10-26-13

Narrative:
On Saturday, October 26, 2013 at 6:00AM, Dover Police responded to a severe motor vehicle accident that occurred on McKee Road, north Of College Road.  Two vehicles, a Lincoln Town Car and a Hyundai Santa Fe, were involved in a head on collision that
was a result of a vehicle crossing over into the opposite lane.  Both drivers suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision and were pronounced deceased on scene.  Speed and
driver inattention appear to be factors in the investigation, which is still on-going.  The roadway was closed for approximately 4 hours as a result of the accident, but has since re-opened. The Dover Police Department will release names of the victims once
next of kin have been notified.
