Man arrested with handgun and rifle

Narrative: On Sunday, October 27, 2013 at 12:36 a.m. Dover Police officers responded to the rear of the Hollywood Diner for a domestic dispute with a male, female and a small child. The adults were arguing in a white pick-up truck. One officer made contact with the female on the passenger’s side of the truck. Another officer made contact with the male and requested his identification. The male was seated in the truck and reached underneath the driver’s seat. The officer told the male to remove his hand from under the seat. The male hesitated then he was ordered at gunpoint to remove his hand. The male was removed from the vehicle and a Smith and Wesson 40 caliber firearm was found under the driver’s seat. A search of the vehicle revealed a magazine with ammunition and a 22 caliber rifle concealed under a blanket. The male was identified as James Holmes (pictured below).
