Three Men Arrested in Monday Morning 7-11 Robbery 6-30-2014

Narrative: Three men are behind bars after robbing a local 7-11 convenience store early Monday morning. At approximately 4:24AM, officers responded to the 7-11 convenience store located in the Courtney Square shopping center (449 South New Street). Three black male suspects entered the business wearing dark hooded sweatshirts pulled over their heads with a black cloth covering the lower half of their faces. One of the men stood guard at the door while the other two suspects robbed the victim of his wallet, cell phone, and other personal items while threatening him with knives. The suspects also took several packs of Newport cigarettes and other tobacco products. The suspects then fled the area on foot. During a search of the area, Dover Police officers observed the men in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. and River Road. All suspects fled from the officers on foot with Johnson being apprehended immediately. Woodard and Brice were apprehended after a brief foot chase, in which one suspect attempted to escape by jumping into the St. Jones River.
