Dance Instructor Arrested for Sex Offense Involving Student 7-6-17

Narrative:
A 65-year-old dance instructor is awaiting extradition from New York on an Unlawful Sexual Contact charge after having sexual contact with a 17-year-old male dance student. The incident was reported by the victim and his parents on June 26th, 2017 and occurred on June 23rd, 2017. According to the victim, Alexander Boitsov, of Hockessin, took him to a locker room during a session on the 23rd. While inside the locker room, the victim was told to undress, and Boitsov then engaged in sexual contact with the victim.
The Dover Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for a single count of Unlawful Sexual Contact (2nd Degree) for Boitsov and he was arrested on June 28th in New York City by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force at the Ellison School of Ballet without incident. Boitsov remains in custody in the State of New York while he awaits extradition to Delaware.
Boitsov is known to travel to various dance schools to provide lessons. At this time, detectives are unaware if there are additional victims.
