Fourth Suspect Connected to June 27th Murder at Pine Grove Apartments is Arrested 7-11-2017
SECOND UPDATE 7-11-2017:
Raymond Ward, the 4th suspect connected to the June 27th murder of Dequan Dukes, has been arrested. Ward was arrested on Monday, July 10th at 1:46PM by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force with assistance from the Dover Police Department Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit, and the Delaware State Police. Ward was located in a residence in the 100 Block of Terry Drive in Magnolia and arrested without incident. Ward was in possession of a loaded .38 caliber handgun at the time of his arrest. In addition to the charges he was wanted for, Ward was also charged with the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm/Ammunition by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Possession of Firearm/Ammunition While Being a Fugitive Wanted for Felony (2x)
Ward was committed to JTVCC in default of $122,000 Cash Bond.
UPDATE: The Dover Police Department has arrested three people and are seeking a fourth in connection with the shooting death of Dequan Dukes on Tuesday night at Pine Grove Apartments. During the investigation, it was discovered that Brett Scott, Gregory Sellers, Lisa Wagaman, and Raymond Ward conspired to rob Dukes at Pine Grove Apartments. During the incident Dukes and Scott exchanged gunfire, resulting in Duke’s death and Scott being shot multiple times. Gregory Sellers transported Scott to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for his injuries shortly after the incident. Further investigation led to the identification as Sellers, Wagaman, and Ward as participants in the robbery plan.

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed a 21-year-old man and left a 25-year-old with serious injuries on Tuesday night. At approximately 8:48PM, officers responded to Pine Grove Apartments for reports of shots being fired. Officers arrived and located the 21-year-old Dequan Dukes seated inside of a vehicle that was located between D and E buildings. Dukes appeared to have been shot at least once in the upper body and was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. During this time, the second victim arrived at the hospital with multiple gun shot wounds. The 25-year-old man is currently being treated for his injuries. The case remains under investigation at this time.
