Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Charges for Dover Man 2-8-2018

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested 51-year-old Nathan Ward on drug charges following a traffic stop on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018. At approximately 6:57PM, officers stopped Ward, who was operating a maroon Toyota Camry, for a traffic violation. During the traffic stop, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Ward was found in possession of 2.8 grams of marijuana and 9.7 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale. Ward was taken into custody without incident and charged with the following offenses:
-Possession of Crack Cocaine Tier 1
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
-Possession of Marijuana
-Drug Paraphernalia
Ward was released on unsecured bond.
