Residential Burglary on North State Street 11-21-2019

Location:  200 Block of North State Street, Dover, DE

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred in the 200 Block of North State Street.  The incident occurred between Monday, November 18th at 8:00AM and Wednesday, November 20th at 3:37PM when the resident returned.  The suspect(s) entered the home by breaking a rear glass door and then removed an Apple iPad and various DVD movies before fleeing.  

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130. Parked Vehicles Struck by Gunfire on Sussex Avenue 11-20-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two vehicles damaged in the 400 Block of Sussex Avenue on Wednesday morning.  At approximately 4:39AM, officers responded to the area for a report of shots fired.  When they arrived, they located two vehicles that had been struck by gunfire in front of a residence.  No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.

Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Firearms Arrest 11-20-19

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department arrested Abdul-Rahim Bracey (19) on drug and firearm offenses during a traffic stop on Tuesday morning.  At approximately 10:35AM, officers stopped Bracey for operating a vehicle with expired tags in the area of N. DuPont Highway and Lepore Road.  During initial contact with Bracey, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana and observed marijuana in plain view.  A further search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a handgun, $205 in drug proceeds, a digital scale, and 38 grams of marijuana.

Bracey was released after posting a $15,100 secured bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of a Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession with Intent to Deliver
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Traffic Offenses

Dover Man Arrested on Drug Charges Following Probation Administrative Search 11-15-2019

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department arrested Darius Jean-Baptiste (19) on drug charges after assisting Delaware Probation and Parole with an administrative search of his residence.  During the search, the following items were located:
-96 bags of heroin (.672 gram)
-2.2 grams of “synthetic marijuana”
-1.6 grams of marijuana
-drug paraphernalia
-$330 in drug proceeds

Jean-Baptiste was committed to SCI on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
-Possession of Counterfeit Controlled Substance
-Possession of Marijuana
-Drug Paraphernalia

Gold Alert Cancelled for James Allen 11-15-2019

UPDATE: The Gold Alert for James Allen has been cancelled after he was located on November 15th, 2019.

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for a missing 54-year-old male.  James Allen was reported missing by family members after leaving his residence at 400 Country Drive at approximately 4:30PM on Thursday, November 14th, 2019.  Allen has a condition that if not monitored properly, may pose a risk to his well-being.  Allen is described as being a black male, 5’10”, approximately 200 pounds.  It is not known what he was last wearing.  He may be operating a red Mazda CX5 with Delaware tags (PC212472).
