Traffic Stop Leads to Drug and Firearms Arrest 11-20-19

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested Abdul-Rahim Bracey (19) on drug and firearm offenses during a traffic stop on Tuesday morning. At approximately 10:35AM, officers stopped Bracey for operating a vehicle with expired tags in the area of N. DuPont Highway and Lepore Road. During initial contact with Bracey, officers detected a strong odor of marijuana and observed marijuana in plain view. A further search of the vehicle led to the discovery of a handgun, $205 in drug proceeds, a digital scale, and 38 grams of marijuana.
Bracey was released after posting a $15,100 secured bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of a Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession with Intent to Deliver
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Traffic Offenses
