Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a shooting incident that occurred on Thursday afternoon at the intersection of Bicentennial Boulevard and Declaration Drive.  Officers were called to the area for reports of shots being fired.  The investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Trailblazer pulled in front of a GMC Terrain at the intersection.  A subject in the GMC Terrain fired multiple rounds in the direction of the Trailblazer and both then fled the area.  Officers located the Trailblazer in a nearby neighborhood with multiple bullet holes in it and contacted the owner.  The owner was uncooperative with police other than to say that an argument had occurred in The Hamlet Shopping Center (corner of Walker Road and McKee Road) prior to the shooting.  Detectives were able to confirm that both vehicles were in the shopping center using video surveillance but were unable to determine if an altercation occurred.

No injuries or further damage was reported as a result of gunfire.  A mailbox in the area was struck by a fleeing vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302)736-7130.  Callers may remain anonymous.  Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delaware.crimestoppersweb.com; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
