Dover Man Arrested For November Robbery, Linked to 2024 Incident

The Dover Police Department has arrested Nashere Edwards, 23, of Dover, for the attempted robbery that occurred at Cedar Chase Apartments last month. Through this investigation, Edwards was identified as a suspect, and warrants were obtained for his arrest. Edwards was also linked to a robbery that occurred in March of 2024 at Cedar Chase Apartments where he displayed a handgun and took property from a victim.
Edwards was arrested on 12/9/25 without incident and committed to SCI $147,000 cash bail on the following charges:
-Robbery First Degree
-Attempted Robbery First Degree(2x)
-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony(2x)
-Possession of a Firearm By a Person Prohibited
-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Wearing a Disguise During the Commission of a Felony(2x)
-Endangering the Welfare of a Child (2x)
-Selling Stolen Property
Edwards is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating an attempted robbery that occurred Sunday evening. The investigation began at 6:35 p.m., when Dover Police responded to Cedar Chase Apartments in reference to an attempted robbery. Upon arrival, Officers contacted the victims. The ensuing investigation revealed that a black male, 5’4″ tall, wearing a camo face covering, a black hooded sweatshirt, and jeans, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the victims. The victims did not comply and were able to drive away.
There are no additional leads to release at this time.
