Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred on Thursday between 8:00AM and 4:39PM in the 800 Block of West North Street. During that time an unknown suspect entered the home by forcing open the front and rear doors.  Once inside the suspect(s) broke/damaged numerous items in the residence before fleeing.

Four Arrested on Weapons Charges Following Suspicious Behavior Call 10-7-16

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department arrested four suspects after responding to a report that the group was looking into vehicles in the area of Lakeview Drive on Friday morning.  Officers arrived on scene and contacted Matthew Brown (23) and Thomas Limpkins (22).  James Pitts (27) and Kenny’Aun Baldwinn (26) were also contacted in a nearby vehicle.  Officers searching the vehicle discovered a .40 caliber handgun, a loaded .40 caliber magazine, additional .40 caliber rounds, a large knife, several pocket knives, tools, masks, gloves, .2 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

As a result of the incident, the suspects faced the following charges:

Robbery on S. New Street, Suspect Arrested 10-7-16

Narrative:

The Dover Police Department is investigating an early morning robbery that occurred on Thursday. At 2:51AM, a 48-year-old male victim was walking in the area of S. New Street and Reed Street when he was approached by a black male suspect from behind.  The suspect demanded the victim’s money at gunpoint and the victim complied, dropping money and then attempted to walk away when the suspect fired a single shot, striking a bag that the victim was carrying.  The suspect fled in an unknown direction after the incident.

18-year-old Javon Jones was later identified as the suspect in the robbery and was arrested on Thursday night without incident.  Jones was committed to JTVCC in default of $107,000 cash bond on the following charges:
-Robbery 1st Degree
-Reckless Endangering
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited

UPDATE: Music Equipment Stolen from Church 9-29-16

UPDATE:

The Dover Police Department has arrested and charged Craig Coleman (26) in the burglary and theft of music equipment from Victory Crusade Worship Center on September 27th.  Officers arrested Coleman after it was learned he was trying to sell equipment that was stolen from the church.  Coleman was committed to JTVCC in default of $7,000 bond on the following charges:
-Burglary 3rd Degree
-Criminal Mischief
-Possession of Burglar Tools
-Theft over $1,500

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary at a Dover church.  The incident occurred between 11:00AM on Tuesday, September 27th and 6:20PM on Wednesday, September 28th when suspects entered the church by forcing open a rear window.  Once inside, the suspects took various music equipment including guitars, amplifiers, equalizers, microphones, and cases.  The suspects then fled with the items in an unknown direction.

Man Arrested on Drug Charges After Fleeing From Traffic Stop 9-28-16

Narrative:

Dover Police arrested a man on drug charges after he ran from a traffic stop on Tuesday night.  At approximately 10:02PM, a Dover patrol officer observed a white Lincoln Towncar stopped in the roadway on S. Queen Street.  A computer check revealed that the car was unregistered as it began to drive away, so the officer conducted a traffic stop and contacted the driver, Travis Caldwell (34).  As the officer returned to his patrol vehicle to review Caldwell’s documents, Caldwell fled on foot from the vehicle.  The officer chased Caldwell and took him into custody behind a home on S. Queen Street.  Officers located 2 bags of cocaine weighing 15.8 grams total near where Caldwell was taken into custody.  He was later released after posting $37,175 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Cocaine (Tier 3 Qty)
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine
-Resisting Arrest
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Multiple Traffic Offenses
