The Dover Police Department has issued a Gold Alert for Brittany Mosely, 36, of Dover, DE. Mosely suffers from a condition that may pose a risk to her health and safety if not properly monitored and treated. Mosley is described as a black female, 5’5″, 110 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Mosley was last seen in the 300 Block of Northdown Drive on June 5th, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. At the time, she was operating a 2015 Honda Accord with Delaware Registration 379836, wearing unknown clothing. Attempts to contact her have been negative.

The Dover Police Department will once again bring the National Night Out to the Dover community on Tuesday, August 1st from 6-8pm. The event brings the Dover Police Department, along with several emergency agencies and military personnel to one place where the public can bring their families to meet and greet local heroes and see the equipment used in their jobs while forming a positive relationship with the community. In addition to appearances and demonstrations by these agencies, Night Out will feature fun activities for all ages along with food and beverages for all while supplies last. The venue for the event will be Dover High School at 1 Dover High Drive, Dover, DE.
The National Night Out provides a variety of agencies with an opportunity to show our citizens what services they provide, the vehicles and equipment they use, and a chance to interact with personnel in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Dover Police Department requests that political candidates/officials do NOT campaign, distribute handbills, or other materials at this event.

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department has arrested Matthew Clendaniel, 29, of Dover, for injuring an officer following a trespassing complaint at the Capital Inn early Tuesday morning. The investigation began at 1:16 a.m. when Dover Police was called to the hotel for a man trespassing on the property. While responding, it was relayed to officers that the suspect was leaving and a description was provided. Officers arrived in the area and located Clendaniel, who matched the description provided. Officers told Clendaniel to stop however he kept walking away from officers. Officers attempted to take him into custody at which time he began to actively resist arrest and would not put his hands behind his back. Three officers were eventually able to take Clendaniel into custody, however one officer sustained minor injuries to his lower body during the struggle. It was determined that Clendaniel was under the influence of alcohol once he was taken into custody. While placing Clendaniel into a patrol vehicle he spit on an officer. Clendaniel was transported to Dover Police where he was processed and arraigned.
Clendaniel was released on $4,250 unsecured bond on the following charges: -Assault Second / Injure a L/E Officer -Resisting Arrest with Force or Violence -Offensive Touching -Criminal Trespass Third -Menacing -Breach of Release -Public Intoxication -Drunk on a Highway

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department has arrested Shafeqah Freeman, 37, of Dover, on DUI and related charges following a pursuit Saturday morning. The investigation began at 5:10 a.m. when officers were conducting traffic control on North DuPont Highway due to a vehicle collision. Freeman approached the area and failed to yield to the emergency vehicles, nearly striking one, and fled at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to stop Freeman at which time she continued to flee, eventually traveling westbound on Loockerman Street. Freeman ran several red lights and almost struck several curbs. At this time the pursuit was terminated for safety reasons.
Officers in the area observed Freeman’s vehicle stopped near Forest Street and South West Street shortly after the pursuit ended. Officers were able to take Freeman into custody without incident and it was determined that she was under the influence of alcohol. Freeman was transported to Dover Police Department where she was processed and arraigned.
Freeman was released on unsecured bond on the following charges: -Disregarding a Police Officer Signal -Failure to Yield / Change Lanes For Stopped Emergency Vehicles -Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol -Several Traffic Charges

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department has arrested James Hinson, 34, of Wilmington, for rape and additional charges following an incident that occurred early Friday morning. The investigation began when Dover Police received a call that a man named James had touched a 12-year-old female of Dover inappropriately in a room at the Days Inn. Officers responded to the room and contacted an 18-year-old of female of Magnolia and the 12-year-old. The ensuing investigation revealed that Hinson had sexually assaulted the 12-year-old two times inside of the hotel room and was caught by the 18-year-old. When confronted, Hinson got into a physical altercation with the 18-year-old and then left the room. Officers were able to obtain a physical description of Hinson from the victims and began to search the area.
While searching, patrol officers located Hinson nearby and took him into custody without incident. Hinson provided a false name when he was taken into custody and he was found in possession of 7.3 grams of cocaine, 23 grams of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.
Hinson was transported to Dover Police Department where he was processed and arraigned.
Hinson was committed to SCI on $136, 250 cash bail on the following charges: -Rape Second Degree (2x) -Endangering the Welfare of a Child -Possession with the Intent to Deliver Cocaine -Possession of Cocaine in a Tier 1 Quantity -Offensive Touching -Criminal Impersonation -Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Burns is described as a white male, 6’0″, 200 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Burns was last seen in the area of Bayhealth Kent Campus, 640 South State Street Dover, DE. At the time, he was wearing all black clothing.

It is unknown what she was wearing at the time.
