Dover Police Drug Arrest 11-21-2013

The Dover Police Department Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime Unit (DVOC) made multiple arrests for heroin possession on Thursday night (November 21, 2013).  At approximately 8:27 PM, officers attempted to stop a black Mazda 6 in the area of Mary Street and North New Street for a traffic violation.  The vehicle fled from the officers for several blocks, eventually crashing into a curb at 301 North State Street and coming to rest on the lawn.  At that time the driver of the vehicle (later identified as Paul Smith DOB: 7-27-1989) fled from the vehicle on foot.  DVOC officers chased Smith through several city streets and residences and were able to apprehend the Smith in the rear of Dover Central Middle School.  The other suspects (Dominique McFadden DOB: 5-30-1989 and Tarae Ingram DOB: 7-11-1989) were both apprehended inside of the vehicle, at the accident scene.  An immediate search of the area revealed that the defendant’s had thrown 23 bags of heroin (total weight: .46 grams) from the vehicle which was recovered by the officers on scene.
