Arrest Made in Friday Robbery of Elderly Man 6-2-14

Narrative:  The Dover Police Department has made an arrest in the early morning robbery of an elderly victim in downtown Dover.  On Friday, May 30th at approximately 4:30AM, William Loper (22) approached an elderly male victim in the area of South Bradford Street and West Reed Street, asking for change.  As the victim removed cash from his wallet and began counting out change, Loper displayed a sharp instrument described as a knife or screwdriver and snatched the money from the victims hands.  Loper then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.  Detectives obtained warrants for Loper and arrested him on Monday, June 2nd at approximately 10:45AM without incident.
