Robbery Silver Lake Park

On Friday, November 07, 2014 at 5;34P.M. Dover Police responded to the east side of Silver Lake Park for a reported robbery. The 55 year old male victim reported to officers that he was riding his bike through the park on his way home when two black male suspects approached him and asked him for a lighter.  The victim stated that he did not have a lighter at which time one suspect knocked him off the bicycle and the second suspect then kneeled on his chest. The first suspect than removed jewelry, an undisclosed amount of cash and the victims wallet from his person. The suspects were described as (1) early 20’s with mid neck length dreadlocks with a brown shirt and khaki pants and (2) mid 20’s with a gray/black striped  sweatshirt and sweatpants. The Dover Police Criminal Investigation Unit responded to handle the investigation. The victim was taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital, was treated for a bruised chest and released.
