Traffic Stop for No Headlights Results in Arrest for Firearm and Marijuana Possession 10-13-20

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested Tiffany Lassiter (33) on marijuana and firearms offenses during a traffic stop early Sunday morning.  At approximately 12:14 a.m., officers stopped Lassiter in the area of North DuPont Highway and Denney’s Road for driving without her headlights on.  During the stop officers could smell marijuana coming from the car and observed a small baggie of marijuana in plain view on the rear seat.  As officers had Lassiter exit the vehicle, they saw a black handgun wedged between the driver’s seat and center console.  A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of an additional 30 grams of marijuana inside of the center console.

Lassiter was released on an O.R. bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession of Marijuana
