Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested Tywon Peace (22) on gun charges after he attempted to flee from a traffic stop on Thursday morning. Officers stopped a vehicle that Peace was a passenger in at 3:16 a.m. for a traffic violation in the area of Loockerman Street and Legislative Avenue. The vehicle pulled into the rear parking lot of the Dover Library where it came to a stop. At that time, Peace exited the rear passenger seating area and fled on foot. Officers quickly apprehended Peace and found him to be in possession of a loaded handgun and a small amount of marijuana.
Peace was issued a $10,501 cash bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Resisting Arrest
-Possession of Marijuana (civil)

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested one man and are seeking a second in connection with a shooting that occurred on Wednesday evening. At approximately 7:43 p.m. officers responded to a home in the 100 Block of Duet Court for a shooting. Arriving officers located a 46-year-old male who was shot once in the torso and an additional subject who broke their hip from a fall while trying to evade gunfire.
Officers contacted Antar Gales (37) at the scene. It was learned that officers had responded to the neighborhood earlier in the day for a dispute between the victim’s household and Gales’ household. Gales’ was not home at the time of the original incident. Gales stated that he arrived shortly before the shooting to fight the victim. However, surveillance footage showed Gales and an unknown suspect arrive together in a late model gray Volkswagen Jetta with a missing rear passenger side hubcap. The vehicle drove up to the victim’s residence and several shots were fired in the direction of the home. One shot struck the 46-year-old male and five other struck the front of the home.
Both the 46-year-old male and the subject with the broken hip were transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
Gales was released after posting a $28,100 secured bond on the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Assault 2nd Degree
-Reckless Endangering 1s Degree (4x)
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Criminal Mischief

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested Kyle Batson (22) on burglary charges on Tuesday morning. At approximately 2:20 a.m., officers responded to a Valero gas station at 530 N. DuPont Highway for a burglary alarm. When officers arrived to the scene, they observed that a window had been shattered to the business. Surveillance footage showed Batson entering the business and removing cash and cigarettes from the store. As officers checked the area, a witness advised that they observed Batson jumping into a dumpster. Officers located Batson and took him into custody without incident. Batson was released on an O.R. Bond on the following charges:
-Burglary 3rd Degree
-Theft under $1,500
-Criminal Mischief.
At 7:49 a.m., officers responded to the Saint Andrew’s Lutheran Church at 425 N. DuPont Highway for a burglary. When officers arrived, they observed that an exterior window was also shattered. Several doors/locks were damaged on the inside of the building and an Apple iPad and cash were also stolen. Officers reviewed exterior video surveillance and observed Batson at approximately 2:30 a.m., wearing the same clothing as the Valero burglary that had occurred.
Officers obtained warrants for Batson and later located him in the area of White Oak Road and N. DuPont Highway where he was arrested without incident. Batson was committed to SCI on a $2,000 secured bond on the following charges:
-Burglary 3rd Degree
-Theft Under $1,500
-Criminal Mischief

This release has been updated with information and new charges below
On March 10th, the Dover Police Department Special Operations Team learned that a wanted fugitive was staying at the Dover Garden Suites. Donald Miller (37) was wanted by Wilmington Police Department for charges related to a residential burglary and for fleeing from police. Miller was also wanted by New Castle County Police on firearms and vehicle theft charges in addition to multiple court capias in Delaware.
The Dover Police and Delaware State Police Special Operations Teams and the Dover Police Department Crisis Negotiation Team responded to the hotel and established communications with Miller and two occupants of Miller’s room which included a 17-year-old male who was wanted on a capias, and a female subject. After nearly two hours of negotiations, the three occupants surrendered to police by exiting the hotel room individually.
In addition to our law enforcement partners at the Delaware State Police, the Dover Police Department would like to thank Saint Francis EMS and the Delaware Department of Transportation for their support during this operation.
UPDATE:
Following the surrender and arrest of Miller and the two persons with him, officers obtained a search warrant for the hotel room they were in. During the search a handgun and loaded magazine were located inside.
Miller was committed to SCI in default of a $33,000 secured bond on charges from New Castle County Police, $12,800 secured bond on Wilmington Police charges, and a $13,000 secured bond on the following charges from Dover Police:
-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Tampering with Evidence
-Resisting Arrest
-Criminal Mischief
The 17-year-old male was also charged with the same offenses as Miller. The female subject was not charged in the incident and was released.

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested a 29-year-old Dover man on drug charges during a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon. Emilio Freeman failed to stop at a stop sign at Independence Blvd. and Freedom Drive. When a patrol officer stopped Freeman, it was determined that he was wanted by Dover Police and Delaware State Police on multiple theft related cases. During a search of the vehicle, officers located 152 doses of MDMA, 4.1 grams of marijuana, and 4.6 grams of psilocybin (mushrooms).
Freeman was released on an O.R. bond on the combined 21 charges he was wanted on by Dover Police and Delaware State Police, as well as the new charges below:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver MDMA
-Possession of MDMA
-Possession of Psilocybin
-Possession of Marijuana (civil violation)
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Traffic Offenses

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested a 36-year-old man from Philadelphia during a search warrant stemming from a drug investigation. Officers executed the search warrant at a room at the Dover Inn on Thursday afternoon. Malik Sutton was arrested without incident. During the search, officers located:
-30.1 grams of Fentanyl
-63.2 grams of Crack Cocaine
-57.1 grams of PCP
-114.9 grams of Marijuana
-9mm handgun (loaded)
-$7,904 in Drug Proceeds (cash)

Sutton was released after posting a $44,000 secured bond on the following charges:
