Harrington Police Department locate and stop the suspect vehicle from the bank robbery.

On Wednesday, February 5th at 9:24AM the Dover Police Department received a call for an armed robbery that occurred.  The suspect, Ronald Rogers (DOB: 2-22-1954), entered the bank and threatened the teller with a handgun, demanding that she place money in a bag.  Rogers was wearing dark overalls, a white cover on his face, a dark colored hat, and fled in a dark green Cadillac Seville with a handicap plate (HP).  The Dover Police Department quickly obtained a surveillance photo of the vehicle from the bank’s surveillance system and distributed it through the Dover Police Department website and social media platforms.  At approximately 12:50PM, a tip was called in to 9-1-1 stating they saw a car matching the description distributed by the Dover Police Department in the Harrington area on Carpenter Bridge Road.  While the tip was coming in, officers from the Harrington Police Department quickly responded to the area and observed the vehicle turn northbound onto US RT 13.  The Harrington Police Department stopped the suspect vehicle and took Rogers into custody without further incident and immediately notified the Dover Police Department.  Police recovered evidence from the bank robbery within the vehicle as well.  Bond information was not available at the time of this release.
