Man Arrested on Drug Charged Following Foot Chase 4-18-16

Narrative:
On Friday, April 15th, officers from the Dover Police Department working with Delaware Probation and Parole officers, conducted a traffic stop in the area of Fulton and Queen Street. The driver, Julius Johnson, immediately fled on foot from the vehicle from officers. Officers pursued Johnson who struggled with police while being taken into custody. During the foot chase, Johnson threw a bag containing 3.6 grams of crack cocaine. He was also in possession of 22.6 grams of marijuana. Further investigation by the officers discovered that Johnson had been selling crack cocaine in the area prior to the traffic stop. As a result of the foot chase, a DE Probation and Parole Officer suffered a minor leg injury. Johnson was committed to JTVCC in default of $32,401 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession with intent to deliver cocaine
-Possession of drug paraphernalia
-Possession of marijuana
-Resisting arrest with force (felony)
-Assault 2nd Degree on Law Enforcement Officer
-Traffic offenses
