Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested 17-year-old Michael Taylor for an afternoon shooting that left a 17-year-old victim with a gunshot wound to his upper torso. At approximately 3:34PM, officers responded to the area of E. Water Street and New Castle Avenue for multiple shots fired calls. Upon arrival, the 17-year-old victim was contacted by police. He was transported to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for his injury and was in stable condition. Officers investigation led to the development of Michael Taylor as a suspect in the shooting. Officers later contacted Michael Taylor and arrested him without incident. Taylor was charged with the following offenses:
-Assault 1st Degree
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession of Deadly Weapon During Commission of Felony
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Criminal Mischief
-Illegal Gang Participation
