Arrest Made in Dover Auto Body Burglaries 8-19-2019

UPDATE:

The Dover Police Department and Delaware State Police have made an arrests in three burglaries that occurred at Dover Auto Body.  DeShawn Carroll was developed as a suspect and taken into custody on Friday, August 16th without incident at his place of employment in Dover, DE.  Carroll was committed to SCI in default of $6,700 secured bond on the following charges from the Dover Police Department:
-3rd Degree Burglary (2x)
-Theft/Attempted Theft (2x)
-Criminal Mischief (2x)

NOTE:  In prior releases, the Dover Auto Body business was referred to as Delaware Auto Body by mistake.  The Delaware State Police investigated a burglary at the same business, believing the business was not in Dover Police jurisdiction.  The Delaware State Police also charged Carroll in that incident.

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Delaware Auto Body on Bay Road.  The incident occurred sometime between 6:30PM on Sunday, August 11th, and 8:10AM on Monday, August 12th.  During that period, an unknown suspect entered the business by forced entry through a rear window.  Once inside, the suspect removed several items from inside and fled in an unknown direction.

Narrative: 

The Dover Police Department is investigating a burglary that occurred at Delaware Auto Body on Bay Road.  The incident occurred at approximately 12:32AM when the owner received an alert on his cell phone.  When he drove to the business to check, a black male suspect fled from the business into the Capital Park neighborhood.  The suspect had forced entry into the business through a set of doors and rummaged through items in the business before fleeing.
