Suspect Arrested After Shooting Woman in Hotel Room 1-3-2020

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested a 26-year-old man after shooting a female inside a hotel room on Sunday morning. At approximately 12:32 a.m., officers responded to the Capital Inn for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers found a 25-year-old female inside of a hotel room with three gunshot wounds to her hip/pelvis area and multiple lacerations/bruises to her face/head area. Witnesses told officers that the suspect (Tyrone Allison, 26) had fled the hotel room and was inside of a vehicle. Officers quickly located the vehicle in the parking lot and apprehended Allison without incident. Investigators executed a search warrant on the vehicle and located a .22 caliber handgun in the center console. Investigators also learned that Allison and his girlfriend were involved in an altercation with the female victim. During that altercation, Allison struck the victim several times in the head/face with the handgun and then shot her three times before fleeing.
The victim remains in a nearby hospital for treatment of her injuries. This case remains under investigation.
Allison was committed to SCI on an $86,000 cash bond on the following charges:
-Assault 1st Degree
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Carrying Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
