Narrative:

On Friday, June 3rd at 5:13 p.m., Dover Police Officers were dispatched to a car crash at 1001 White Oak Road.  Upon arrival, they learned that the operator had fled from the scene on foot.  While on scene, officers received a call that a subject was attempting to break into a home in the 200 Block of Eisenhower Drive.  Officers responded and took Trevor Jenkins (32) into custody without incident.  After taking him into custody, officers learned that Jenkins was shot in the leg.  Jenkins, who was found to be the driver in the vehicle crash, stated that he was assaulted at White Oak Condos.  The Dover Police Department did not receive calls for shots fired in that area or anywhere else during the time of the incident.  Jenkins was taken to Bayhealth Kent Campus, where Jenkins was treated and released with minor injuries from the gunshot wound.

Jenkins, who was on home confinement, was issued a Violation of Probation and committed to SCI in addition to being charged with the following offenses:
-DUI
-Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree (3x)
-Criminal Mischief
-Various Traffic Offenses

The shooting remains under investigation.
