Dover Police Assist with Special Olympics Bowling Event
This past Tuesday, officers from the Dover Police Department Community Policing Unit traded in their guns and boots for bowling balls and bowling shoes, as they assisted with a Special Olympics Bowling Event at Brunswick Lanes in the Rodney Village Shopping Center. The event was a Motor Activity Program demonstration, which featured students from the Charlton School and Kent County Community School according to Jon Buzby, Director of Media Relations for the Special Olympics of Delaware. Each athlete received a Challenger Award for their participation from Dover officers.
