Update:
The Dover Police Department has identified the body of a 55-year-old man found in Tudor Industrial Park as Clifford Cannon of Dover. Preliminary autopsy reports have revealed that there is no foul play suspected in Cannon’s death. However, the exact cause of death cannot be determined until toxicology results have returned, a process that can take several weeks. While we are limited on the information we can release publicly at this time, we are confident that the business park is safe and there is no threat to public safety based on the preliminary findings during the investigation. Officials have determined that the cause of death was not a result of foul play. Businesses and activities in the park remain open and are safe to attend.
Narrative:
The Dover Police Department is investigating the discovery of a body in the Tudor Industrial Park located on Otis Drive. At approximately 10:09AM, employees of a business located in the park discovered the body of an African-American male in his mid-50’s between the Actor’s Attic building and an enclosed trailer. The cause of death is not known at this time but it is being investigated as possibly suspicious until the medical examiner determines a cause of death. The Medical Examiner’s office has taken the body of the man for an autopsy. The Dover Police Department is withholding the name of the man until his next of kin has been notified.
