Search Warrant Leads to Drug and Gun Charges for Dover Man 4-5-17

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department’s Drugs, Vice, and Organized Crime (DVOC) unit arrested 31-year-old Bernard Alford on Tuesday evening on a slew of drug and firearms offenses following a search warrant of his home in the 400 Block of S. Governors Avenue. The warrant was executed as part of a drug investigation. During the search of the home the following was discovered:
– 643.4 grams of marijuana
– 89.7 grams of Butane Honey Oil
(derivative of marijuana where pure THC is extracted from marijuana)
– 493 capsules of pure THC
– 21 bags of heroin (0.147 grams)
– 54.4 grams of MDMA
– Stolen Smith and Wesson .38 Special handgun
– .38 caliber ammunition
Bernard was committed to JTVCC in default of $86,150 cash bond on the following charges:
1. Receiving a Stolen Firearm
2. Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
3. Possession of Ammunition by a Person Prohibited
4. Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited who also Possesses a Controlled Substance
5. Possession with the Intent to Deliver Marijuana
6. Aggravated Possession of Marijuana in a Tier 1 Quantity
7. Possession with the Intent to Deliver MDMA in a Tier 4 Quantity
8. Possession of MDMA in a Tier 5 Quantity
9. Possession with Intent to Deliver Butane Honey Oil
10. Possession with Intent to Deliver (THC capsules)
11. Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin
12. Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
