Two Arrested on Drug Charges 3-1-2019

Narrative:
A vehicle stop led to the arrest of several subjects on Thursday afternoon. Officers patrolling in the area of West Reed Street and S. New Street, observed a white SUV and recognized both front seat passengers as Eric Sumlin (25) and a juvenile female. A computer check on the subjects revealed that both men were wanted on capias’ at the time. Officers made contact with the men and smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. Sumlin, the driver, was found in possession of 3.2 grams of marijuana. Gregory Scott (20), was in the rear seat and found to be in possession of 42.5 grams of marijuana, 88 bags of heroin, 100 bags of fentanyl, and a digital scale. All subjects were arrested without incident.
Gregory Scott was committed to SCI in default of $10,000 cash bond on the following charges:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver (3x)
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Violation of Probation
Eric Sumlin was released on an O.R. bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Marijuana (civil)
-Traffic Offenses
a 15-year-old female was committed for Violation of Probation.
