Smyrna man Arrested on Drug and Weapons Charges 9-8-2020

Summary: 

The Dover Police Department arrested Bashan McIvor (19) on firearms and drug offenses on Sunday night.  McIvor was stopped by Dover Police and Delaware State Police Kent County G.T.F. in the area of Kenton Road and Maple Dale Road at approximately 11:48 p.m. on Sunday, September 6th. McIvor was wanted on several Failure to Appear and Violation of Probation capias’ at the time of the stop.  When McIvor was taken into custody, a loaded 9mm handgun was found in his waistband.  McIvor also had 26 bags of Fentanyl and 1.3 grams of marijuana on his person.

McIvor was committed to SCI on a $56,500 secured bond on the following charges:
-Possession of Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (3x)
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Illegal Gang Participation
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Fentanyl
-Possession of Marijuana
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Local Fugitive
