Shots Fired on Loockerman Street Leads to Building Damage

Narrative: The Dover Police Department is investigating a shots fired complaint that occurred early Tuesday morning. The investigation began at 12:27 a.m., when Officers responded to the area of W Loockerman Street and South Bradford Street for the report of shots fired. Officers arrived on scene and located shell casings in the area. There were no victims and no damage reported at this time. On May 16th at 8:30 a.m., Dover Police was notified by CenDel Foundation, 101 W Loockerman Street Dover, DE, that a window was damaged as a result of the above described shooting. Officers were able to review downtown surveillance footage which revealed the suspect is a heavy set black male wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts. (See attached photographs).

This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Dover Police Department at (302) 736-7130 Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at www.delaware.crimestoppersweb.com ; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
