DPD Street Crimes Unit Arrests Fugitive with Crack Cocaine 5-20-15

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department Street Crimes Unit arrested Robert Young (25) for possession of crack cocaine and several arrest warrants during a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon. Young was stopped in the area of S. State Street and Wyoming Avenue at 2:39PM. During the stop, Young gave officer’s a false name. Once officer’s determined that Young was lying to them, he was taken into custody. A search of Young discovered 1.6 grams of crack cocaine. It was also learned that Young had active warrants from the Delaware State Police, Frederica Police, and a warrant of out of Pennsylvania as well. Young was committed to JTVCC in default of $9,266 secured bond.
Robert Young was charged with the following offenses:
-Out of State Fugitive
-Possession of Crack Cocaine
-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Criminal Impersonation
