Two Arrested on Drug and Firearms Charges 4-20-2018

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department working with Delaware Probation and Parole arrested two people during a vehicle stop on Thursday evening on drug and gun charges. Officers stopped Daquan Giddens (21) and Romazjia Robinson (25) were stopped in a vehicle in the area of Old Forge Drive and Meadow Garden Lane because Giddens was a wanted absconder from probation. During the stop, officers located marijuana in plain view. A further search of the vehicle led to the discovery if a loaded 9mm handgun that was reported stolen out of Virginia. Dover Police later assisted Delaware Probation and Parole with an administrative search of Giddens residence in the 300 Block of Norway Drive in Dover. The search yielded additional marijuana and digital scales.
Daquan Giddens was committed to JTVCC in default of $18,000 secured and $5,000 cash bonds on the following charges:
-Violation of Probation
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Possession by Firearm/Ammo by Person Prohibited (2x)
-Receiving a Stolen Firearm
-Drug Paraphernalia
-Possession with Intent to Deliver Marijuana
-Endangering the Welfare of a Child
-Illegal Gang Participation
Romazjia Robinson was released on $2,000 unsecured bond on the following charges:
-Endangering the Welfare of a Child
-Breach of Release (No Contact Order with Giddens)
