The Dover Police Department is investigating a single car collision that resulted in the death of both occupants.  At approximately 5:00AM, a 2005 Toyota Prius was traveling northbound on N. The accident caused the closure of both Northbound and southbound lanes until approximately 10:00AM.  Power was also lost in the area for several hours.  The Dover Fire Department, Delaware Department of Transportation, and City of Dover Electric assisted on scene.

Alcohol and drugs are suspected to be a factor in the crash.  The names and further details are being withheld pending next of kin notifications.
