Three Arrested on Firearms and Drug Offenses

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department and the United States Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force arrested three subjects on gun and drug charges on Monday afternoon. Officers were conducting surveillance on a vehicle that was occupied by Joshua Smith (30), who was wanted by the Delaware State Police. Officers were able to stop the vehicle in the parking lot of WAWA in Camden, Delaware at approximately 4:20 p.m. The vehicle was occupied by two children and four adults. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a handgun with a 50 round drum magazine with an obliterated serial number.
Jasmin Smith (24) was in possession of 100 doses of MDMA and 3.5 grams of marijuana.
Daeonna Chauka (24) gave officers a false name because she had an active capias for her arrest and was charged accordingly.
Smith (Camden, DE) was charged with the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited
-Possession of Firearm During Commission of Felony
-Possession of Firearm with Obliterated Serial Number
-Illegal Gang Participation
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
Smith (Dover, DE) was charged with the following offenses:
-Possession with Intent to Deliver MDMA
-Possession of MDMA
-Possession of Marijuana
-Endanger Welfare of a Child
-Drug Paraphernalia
Chauka (Felton,DE) was charged with the following offenses:
-Possession of Firearm with Obliterated Serial Number
-Criminal Impersonation
-Conspiracy 2nd Degree
-Endanger Welfare of a Child
-Drug Paraphernalia
Mugshots and bond amounts were not available at time of release.
