Narrative:
A 14-year-old was arrested for Burglary and Theft charges on Sunday evening.  Officers were called to the 700 block of bacon Avenue for a report of a burglary at a residence.  Upon arrival, officers were advised by the residents of the home that they observed a subject in their residence with the light on when they arrived home.  They then heard a door slam and saw 14-year-old Jawann Butcher running from the residence.  When asked by the residents if he was in the apartment, Butcher stated he was just knocking on the door.  It was learned shortly after that 2 XBOX games had been stolen from the residence. Butcher was stopped by police, and admitted to stealing from the residence.  It was also learned that Butcher had stolen an A/V cord from the same residence just days prior, but the incident was unreported at the time.  Butcher was charged with 2 counts of Second Degree Burglary and Theft Under $1500.00 and was released to his parents for a later court date.  Butcher’s mugshot was unavailable at the time of this release.
