Suspect in State Police Robbery Investigation Arrested for Heroin Possession

Narrative:
Officers from the Dover police Department’s Safe Streets Unit have arrested a Felton woman after finding heroin during a traffic stop. Officers observed 24-year-old Angela Tribbitt fail to stop at a stop sign in the area of New Castle Avenue and River Road at 2:00PM on Tuesday, September 9th. As officers approached the vehicle, they could smell a strong odor of marijuana. When Tribbitt was asked to hand the officers her license, officers observed a nag of marijuana inside her purse. Tribbitt was taken into custody and discovered 57 bags of heroin and 3 needles in addition to the marijuana. It was later learned that Tribbitt was also involved in a robbery that was being investigated by the Delaware State Police Troop #3. Once Tribbitt was charged by Dover police, she was transferred to Delaware State Police detectives for further investigation. Tribbitt was committed to Baylor Women’s Correctional Facility in default of $2,002 secured bond.
