Dover Man Arrested on Robbery Charges After Assaulting 76-Year-Old Vendor

Narrative:
The Dover Police Department arrested Nolan Swearinger (58) on robbery charges following an incident at Spence’s Bazaar on Tuesday morning. At approximately 11:21 a.m., Swearinger shoplifted an item from a vendor at Spence’s Bazaar. When the vendor attempted to stop him, Swearinger punched the 76-year-old male victim in the face. When officers arrived, Swearinger ran but was apprehended a short time later.
Swearinger’s arraignment is pending on the following charges:
-Robbery 1st Degree
-Assault 2nd Degree
-Theft
-Resisting Arrest
